Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is boosting its reputation in Britain with the addition of 100 permanent jobs in the manufacturing areas of the company.
A recruitment campaign began in January to grow the company. Rolls-Royce celebrated the 100 new employees at the automaker’s headquarters in Goodwood, England, and looked toward the future of the company with these new members.
Recruiting new people
Following a record year in sales in 2013, Rolls-Royce decided upon a recruitment program for 100 new permanent jobs within the corporation.
The best candidates were recruited to help keep Rolls-Royce a competitive brand. Rolls-Royce's hand-built vehicles are produced in Goodwood, which now employees 1,500 people onsite.
Rolls-Royce recruitment celebration
Roll-Royce's dedication to Britain is evident in other recent ventures of the brand.
For instance, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is opening a technology and logistics center in Bognor Regis, Britain, to pull together fragmented operations and underscore its commitment to the national economy.
As vehicles become increasingly complex, it is important for automakers to bring the different components of production into working collaboration, which this center accomplishes. Also, the space will employ around 200 workers, a development that will bolster the brand’s appeal in Britain as economies around the world continue to repair unemployment numbers (see story).
