Italian label Valentino’s runway show during Paris Fashion Week is generating social media attention due to a surprise appearance.
Actors Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson were the show finale, doing a walk-off as their characters from the 2001 comedic film “Zoolander.” With the bevy of runway shows happening back to back, this quirky ending to the show helped Valentino get noticed by fashion fans, bloggers and popular media.

After the last models had glided down the runway to an orchestral soundtrack, the music abruptly switched to The Human League’s 1980s hit “Don’t You Want Me.” Mr. Stiller and Mr. Wilson walked down the runway, wearing serious “fashion” expressions, and audience cell phones flew up to capture video and photos.
Paramount Pictures announced via social media at the same time that it would be making a sequel, Zoolander 2.
Keeping the interest on the fashion, the line up of models appeared again to walk the runway. Valentino also tweeted the details of what the actors were wearing.
Bergdorf Goodman got in on the action, tweeting a photo of Vogue editor Anna Wintour with Mr. Stiller and Mr. Wilson.
