French luxury conglomerate Kering is once again hosting its "Empowering Imagination" fashion design competition with Parsons School of Design.

With Style.com and Saks Fifth Avenue, the Bachelors of Fine Arts fashion students at the school will compete to be selected to travel to the Kering Materials Innovation Lab and be featured on Style.com and in the windows of Saks. The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity offers a space for young talent to be recognized and for these companies to stay in-tuned with up-and-coming individuals in the fashion world.

Incredible opportunities
Twelve student finalists will be selected to be featured on Style.com May 7–18. Winners will be selected from these 12 by fashion experts such as Alexander Wang, Aimee Mullins and others.

Two winners will be selected to be featured in the Saks Fifth Avenue windows from May 29 to June 10. Also, they will be given a trip to the Kering Materials Innovation Lab where they will get a chance to see the place where more than 1,5000 sustainable fabrics are housed for all the Kering brands.

Last year’s Empowering Imagination competition left students from Parsons vying for an internship at one of Kering’s 22 luxury or lifestyle brands. With many luxury brands finding it difficult to discover top talent to fill roles at their companies, this competition offered Kering a pipeline to find its next employees (see story).
