“Part of our brand identity is to always be looking for ways to delight our guests,” said Tammy Peters, director of communications at Mandarin Oriental, New York. “Creating special, one-of-a-kind offerings such as The Seven Deadly Sins & Bubbly helps us to create moments of delight for guests that they cannot get anywhere else.
“More and more today, unique, memorable experiences over material things give the consumer a sense of value,” she said.
Hamilton, Bermuda-based Mandarin Oriental has locations in major cities worldwide such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Milan, Abu Dhabi, Macao, Tokyo and Singapore.
The seven deadly sins
The luxury hotel has partnered with wine director Annie Turso and Tumbador chocolate’s seven deadly sins collection to feature this Valentine’s Day event for couples.
Mandarin Oriental also selected two Billecart-Salmon Champagnes to create the perfect pairing of chocolate and wine.
Tumbador Chocolate’s seven deadly sins feature:

Sloth- goats milk dulce de leche, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and a hint of fleur de sel
Greed- Tumbador’s favorite blend of Peruvian and Ecuadorean chocolates
Wrath- caramelized almond and praline covered in dark chocolate
Gluttony- an oversized piece of Hawaiian chocolate with cream and black-lava sea salt

“Being one of Manhattan’s most romantic celebration destinations certainly helps us to be a popular choice for Valentine’s Day,” Ms. Peters said. “For us, it’s not about creating a single package for Valentine’s Day to differentiate ourselves from the competition. It’s about creating different layers of unique experiences to choose from.
“We have a Midnight Magic Over Manhattan Spa experience that is only offered around Valentine’s in The Spa with treatments at midnight and full reign over our romantic VIP Spa Suite," she said. “Our restaurant Asiate created a special menu for Valentine’s Day, we have the Valentine’s room package for overnight guests and of course there’s The Seven Deadly Sins & Bubbly offering in Lobby Lounge.
“We like to offer a variety of options for all tastes at different splurge levels for both in-house and out-of-house guests."
