Geneva-based luxury smartphone manufacturer Savelli-Genève is contributing to the fight against AIDS by auctioning a bespoke mobile device.
The bespoke smartphone will be auctioned during the sixth annual amfAR event in Milan Sept. 20. The high-profile fundraiser will take place during Milan Fashion Week, ensuring that items auctioned off will be visible among the design-savvy guests.
Dial in for change
Each year amfAR hosts a fundraiser that features a cocktail reception, gala dinner, live auction and after party. This year’s event will be hosted by model Heidi Klum and includes guests from the fashion, cinema and entertainment industries.
For the auction aspect of the event, Savelli will contribute a bespoke edition of the Savelli Diamond Rain smartphone. The Diamond Rain is outfitted with green python leather and features a stainless steel ribbon embedded with 144 brilliant-cut white diamonds as well as 18-carat pink gold accents.

Savelli’s handcrafted smartphone is powered by Google Android and is part of the brand’s Jardin Secret collection. If not part of the auction, Savelli’s Diamond Rain smartphone retails for approximately $32,000.
The Jardin Secret smartphones, available exclusively at Harrods’ Fine Jewelry room, are crafted using polished metals, precious stones and white diamonds and feature scratch-resistant ceramic, hand polished 18-carat rose gold, handset ethical diamonds and leathers, such as python and ostrich skin (see story).
