Michael Kors emphasizes perspective for fall 2015 livestream event

U.S. fashion label Michael Kors is slowing down the action at its fall 2015 runway presentation with Sony F55 4K cameras documenting the collection’s detail in slow motion.

Each season, Michael Kors live streams its fashion shows for a global audience on a microsite dedicated to branded happenings at New York Fashion Week. Now in its seventh season, All Access Kors provides fans of the brand an insider view of the Michael Kors show on Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.

Michael Kors’ collection for fall 2015 will be presented via live stream on the All Access Kors microsite from Spring Studios in New York. The microsite has been live since Feb. 11 and includes a countdown clock and an RSVP option to add the event to a personal calendar.

For this season’s live stream, available on desktop as well as mobile and tablet devices, the brand will use the industry’s highest quality Sony broadcast cameras. The use of high-quality broadcast camera equipment shows Michael Kors’ dedication to quality and the pride it places on its runway shows.

In addition, Michael Kors will have a Sony F55 4k camera on site to capture moments on the runway in slow motion. These images in turn will show the detail and dramatic action in slow motion of the brand’s latest line.

Before the show, viewers will get a special behind-the-scenes look as editors and celebrities are seated for the show.

With an emphasis on perspective, Michael Kors will be streaming its own social media feed on the All Access Kors microsite. Here, consumers will also be able to view user-generated content for additional views of the event.

For last fashion week, Michael Kors expanded its All Access Kors livestream to a Chinese audience with the inclusion of a customizable campaign on Weixin and WeChat (see story).
