Luxury brands are making it apparent that spreading holiday cheer can expand further than December’s holiday season with a social media celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Brands such as Peninsula Hotels, Jimmy Choo, Mr Porter, Harrods, Creed and Bally are bringing out their best green products to celebrate the Irish holiday. Maintaining a global presence through different holidays is a simple way for brands to connect with specific groups through social media.

Wearing of the green
Irish crystal-maker Waterford is celebrating its home country’s holiday by turning its iconic crystal piece, the ball in New York’s Time Square, green.

Other brands brought out their best green through social media posts.

Harrods Food Halls created cupcakes with leprechaun hats, while Creed posted an image of its Vetiver fragrance in green among green leaves.

Jimmy Choo and Mr Porter did something similar with images of green items sold by each brand.

Mercedes posted an image of a gold car at the end of a rainbow with the caption "We make our own luck. And as it so happens, we make our own pot of gold, too. Happy St. Patrick's Day from Mercedes-Benz USA."
