Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin is celebrating its nautical roots through a partnership with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Ulysse Nardin will be the official timekeeper of the 59th annual show, during which it will co-present the Winward VIP Club. About 110,000 visitors are expected to visit the show to see exhibitors from 52 countries, giving Ulysee Nardin a global audience for its timepieces.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will take place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4. In the show’s Hall of Fame Marina, Ulysse Nardin will be co-hosting a VIP area with the show’s presenting sponsor Delta Private Jets (see story).

Here, Ulysse Nardin will be showcasing a collection of haute horology, including watches from its Freak line and the Tellurium Johannes Kepler from the brand’s Trilogy of Time. Also on view will limited-edition Minute Repeaters and Marine Tourbillons.

This marks one of the biggest displays of Ulysse Nardin’s complex creations in the United States.

Ulysse Nardin is also debuting its Diver Chronometer in the U.S., after launching the watch at the Monaco Boat Show.

Watchmakers will be on hand to help guide visitors.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show,” said François-Xavier Hotier, president of Ulysse Nardin Americas, in a statement. “Ulysse Nardin has longstanding ties to the sea, dating back to our origins as the main supplier of Marine Chronometers to navies around the world.

“This continues to be an important part of our story, along with a drive for innovation, precision and reliability – values that are shared by the yachting community,” he said.

Ulysse Nardin has celebrated its marine ties in other ways. In 2015, the brand branched out in a new direction with the release of a powerboat in collaboration with extreme-performance boat maker Midnight Express.

The brand unveiled the new boat along with a special-edition, nautical timepiece to match. Citing its dual inspiration of the need to innovate and the majesty of the sea, Ulysse Nardin announced that it is excited to make this foray into a new field (see story).
