British automaker Bentley Motors is marking its centenary with a series of events in the New York area, culminating in a showcase in Manhattan.

On Oct. 19, Bentley retailers in the tri-state area will host vehicle parades for owners and friends ahead of a “Centenary Concours” in Manhattan’s Brookfield Place shopping center. Reflecting Bentley’s commitment to the future, the Bentayga Hybrid and Flying Spur will be leading the parades.

On display for the celebration will be almost 100 vehicles from Bentley’s first century, as well as some future models. Highlights of the showcase, which is open to the public, include the new Flying Spur and EXP 100 GT.

Bentley’s first foray into electrification, the plug-in Bentayga Hybrid, will also be displayed. The recently released Continental GT and convertible appear in the lineup as well.

The showcase is open for one day only in Manhattan

In honor of the marque’s 100th birthday, Bentley has been involved in several special celebrations.

Earlier this year, Britain’s Salon Privé included a special tribute to the Bentley brand as it marks its 100th anniversary.

Included in the weekend festivities was the Bentley Masters, a display of cars that traces the brand’s history from its EXP No. 2 from 1920 to models from 2019. On Sept. 8, there was be a gathering of more than 1,000 historic Bentleys, a world record (see story).

“The last 18 months have been full of exciting centenary events, ranging in size and collectively celebrating with retailers, Bentley drivers club and media,” said Christophe Georges, president/CEO of Bentley Americas, in a statement. “The past 100 years of Bentley has been on the forefront of many car enthusiasts’ minds.”
