French perfume house Fragrance Du Bois is helping Malaysian designers showcase their collections as the Official Fragrance Partner of The Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear.

The annual event took place from Aug. 12-16 at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, where designers presented their latest pieces to consumers. Fragrance Du Bois invited attendees to visit its booth and explore the brand’s many unique scents, using the popular event to showcase its heritage and connect with consumers.

Ready to share
As the Official Fragrance Partner, Fragrance Du Bois gave a platform to Malaysian designers who might not otherwise have the opportunity to share their collections. Hosting an event dedicated to the fashion of a particular region can ensure that designers receive recognition.

Fragrance Du Bois has been working to expand its presence in Southest Asia in recent years. For example, the French perfume house helped fellow perfumer Xerjoff build awareness in Southeast Asia by hosting the Italian brand at its Singaporean flagship earlier this year.

Given the young age of these fragrance makers, both were founded in the mid-2000s, entering an emerging market through a retail partnership may be beneficial as many consumers in the Southeast Asia region may be unfamiliar. Placement in Fragrance Du Bois’ already established flagship likely helped Xerjoff to continue its global expansion plans (see story).

Working with The Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear will give Fragrance Du Bois an opportunity to connect with a large community. As the brand expands its presence in Asia this will likely help establish a devoted consumer base.
