The Monaco Yacht Show will take place this year between Sept. 24-27 and will host 115 yachts and about 30 tenders.

In Port Hercules in Monaco, the show will unveil the latest yachts from boatyards all over the globe. The show is a compilation of the best superyachts in the world in one harbor so that yacht owners, builders and enthusiasts can learn and experience the most current trends in the yachting world.

Boatyard fun

The Monaco Yacht Show will host the 115 yachts along with hundreds of guests, many of whom are interested buyers.

The latest and most anticipated yachts range from about 82 feet to 328 feet. Boatyards such as Lürssen, Feadship and Royal Huisman will be present and launching new ships.

Feadship’s Como is a 151 foot yacht that features large windows and a new build. The shipyard will feature a total of four boats at the show.

The show area will have an Upper Deck Lounge that is designed for business meetings. The Fairmont Monte-Carlo will cater the private dining restaurant at the show. There are also several reception areas that are reserved exclusively for executives of exhibiting companies.

Yachts in Port Hercules

The Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin is the official sponsor and will have a display of their timepieces in the Upper Deck Lounge.

Captains and crews will be hosted in an exclusive lounge that will offer massages.

There will be press conferences, debates with market leaders and happy hours. Also, cocktail and evening parties will be held on board of the vessels and there will be yacht awards at a gala dinner.

The show takes place from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day from Wednesday, Sept. 24 to Saturday, Sept. 27. Tickets are about $200 a day.

Boatyards often use prominent yacht shows to launch and showcase a new vessel.

For instance, Yacht designer and manufacturer Nisi Yachts used the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes as a vehicle to launch and promote its new Nisi 2400 model to the European market (see story).
