British department store Harrods is hosting an exclusive look at four of Britain’s top designers with an “Inside The Studio” series set to launch in mid-October.

The behind-the-scenes series will allow consumers to gain a glimpse of the design studios of four fashion talents. Harrods will open its digital doors to consumers and social media followers and welcome interested guests into the British fashion world through this film series.

Beyond Harrods
Matthew Williamson, Rupert Sanderson, Antonio Berardi and Alice Temperley will invite viewers inside their ateliers for an inside look at the life of a fashion designer.

Each designer will have their own film that aims to capture the essence of their design studio. The films will showcase the designer, their collections and their models.

Inside The Studio premieres on Thursday, Oct. 16 with Mr. Williamson’s studio. The films will have shopping edits and competition prizes including a piece from each designer’s autumn/winter collection and a signed sketch.


A trailer has been released to tease this series. It offers some images and footage that will appear in each film.

Harrods has taken consumers behind-the-scenes before with a social video to promote ecommerce.

The retailer’s “Harrods I’m Home” video showed a woman who has 24-hour access to the Harrods store to promote its all-hour ecommerce options. Playful and entertaining videos can help brands engage consumers and encourage them to make purchases (see story).
