Itaian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana and Claridge’s are celebrating Christmas together at the hotel in London's Mayfair neighborhood.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana designed the tree that will be featured in the hotel for the second year. This is the fifth year that Claridge’s legendary annual Christmas tree will bear the designs of an honored guest of the hotel, creating even more of a holiday buzz.

Mr. Dolce and Mr. Gabbana are adorning the tree with hand painted blown glass spheres that showcase famous landmarks from cities worldwide. The tree is dedicated by the duo to all the children of the world.

Claridge’s general manager, Thomas Kochs in a branded statement said, “We are delighted to invite Domenico and Stefano to spread their special magic in our lobby once again."Claridges tree 1

The designers aimed to bring together different cultures from around the world with this tree, which will premiere on Nov. 19. The surrounding area will showcase foxes, deer and squirrels in an enchanted forest near the fire.

Global Christmas trees have been a theme for luxury brands.

For instance, precision-cut crystal manufacturer Swarovski ushered consumers into the holiday spending spirit with its Swarovski Christmas gaming mobile application.

Swarovski’s Around the World Christmas game asked users to drag and drop branded tree ornaments to rack up air-travel points to access new levels. The brand sent an email out to newsletter subscribers announcing the new app and its potential to help consumers win Swarovski prizes (see story).
