Private aviator Sentient Jet is providing charitable support to young filmmakers through a contest centering around the Tribeca Film Festival.

On its social media channels, Sentient Jet shared charity network Chideo’s video, starring Saturday Night Live cast member Aidy Bryant, explaining that by donating to the Tribeca Film Institute, supporters are entered into a contest. The winning donor will be flown, with a friend, to New York for the premiere of “Live From New York!”, a documentary about SNL.

...It’s Saturday night!
Live From New York, a celebration and tribute to the 40th anniversary of SNL, will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 15.

Individuals who donate to the Tribeca Film Institute from now until March 30, will be entered to win a red carpet experience and tickets to attend the documentary’s premiere.

The prize includes roundtrip airfare to New York and accommodations for a four-night stay, giving the winner ample time to attend the Tribeca Film Festival. The prize package also includes VIP passes to the film festival and $500 in spending money, in addition to tickets to the Live From New York on opening night.

Entry is based on the amount of donations given to the Tribeca Film Institute. For example, a $10 donation equals a single entry, while $50 affords 10 chances to win and $1,500, 750 opportunities.

The Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 15-26.

SNL has been involved with other charitable efforts in the past that gives back to the film and entertainment industry. For example, department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue partnered with Saturday Night Live on a campaign for the 16th year of its Key to the Cure charity shopping initiative in 2014.

Former and current cast members appeared in a series of print public service announcements that raised awareness for the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund, the beneficiary of the shopping event (see story).
