German automaker Porsche’s 911 vehicle has been awarded as the highest-rated model of the year, according to J.D. Power.
Joining Porsche within the top five highest rated models of 2018 are the Genesis G90, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Lincoln Continental and Porsche again with its Macan, in that order. The Porsche 911 earned the highest spot with a score of 94 out of 100.
Top rated models
In addition to making two of the top five, Porsche saw a total of three on J.D. Power’s top 10, with the Porsche 718 listed at number eight.
Lincoln followed Porsche with the most number of vehicles in the top 10, with the Continental tied scoring a 92 and its Navigator with a score of 91 at number six.

"With nearly 600 models receiving a score of 81 or higher, car shoppers can find a high-quality vehicle on JDPower.com that suits their wants and needs," said Troy Snyder, vice president of consumer division at J.D. Power. "In addition to the rating scores, car shoppers can see which vehicles won a J.D. Power award by segment, so they can rest assured that they're making a wise purchase decision."
Mercedes-Benz was also recently ranked the number one luxury auto brand for financing among dealers, according to J.D. Power.
The study looked at a number of auto brands in terms of how satisfied the dealers who worked with them were with their financing options. For the fourth year in a row, Mercedes-Benz has been named the number one brand in this capacity (see story).
J.D. Power’s latest study on highest rating models comes from the researchers data on Vehicle Dependability Study, Customer Satisfaction Index, Initial Quality Study, Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout and Sales Satisfaction Index.
